This week's Picnic Table Talk theme at ABC & 123 is Jump, Skip & Hop!
Plan a post that shares physical activities and outdoor games you enjoy playing with your family.

Well, I'm not a outdoor person and I don't personally enjoy physical activities, but Abby is always on the go. It seems like every other minute she is saying, "Look at me Mom! Do you like my new dance?" or "See how far I can jump?".
Abby loves to do "cartwheels" and forward rolls. Her and her cousin Matthew will be taking a Gymnastics class together in just a few weeks. They are both so excited.
She also likes to play hopscotch and I often catch her drawing one in the living room carpet! Do marks in the carpet annoy anyone else or is it just me?
Luckily, my husband Dave loves the outdoors and enjoys chasing Abby around the house. I'm not sure where he gets the energy, but I don't have it. I do go to the gym 3 times a week and cut the grass once a week, but that's about all I can do. I think I get exhausted just from taking Abby to the store during the day!
I am looking forward to the cooler Fall weather, when we can go to the park more. We also have a few vacations and outings coming up that will keep us all plenty busy!
Head to ABC & 123 for more Picnic Table Talk posts. I'm sure they'll be tons of great outdoor play ideas from people who actually go outdoors! LOL!

I'm not a real "out-doorsy" girl myself, but it's hard not to be with the kids. Luckily, we have a really nice play-ground swingset in our backyard, so we are out there alot. :)
I'm not an outdoor person either. I always feel guilty that I don't get my kids outside as much as I should.
I get exhausted going to the store too, especially if I have to take the kids with me!
I don't enjoy being outdoors in the hot summer weather, but my kids don't seem to mind... I am looking forward to the cooler fall weather, though - and we lucked out this year because it hasn't been a very hot summer.
These days taking the kids anywhere exhausts me:-)--especially in this heat! I do love the early Spring and Fall though.
Playing games outside? We liked playing I spy. Frisbee. Croquet was never much fun. Finding snakes. Taking photos.
I don't love the outdoors much either and I also enjoy watching others run around. I know what you mean about getting tired taking them to the store I dread it and want a nap after.
Your post made me smile - I know what you mean. I admit that I am quite content to sit in a comfy chair outside and watch her run around. Drawing on the carpet would be unthinkable to me - but I am a neatnik that way. Luckily, our good weather allows her to exercise her creativity outdoors practically every day of the year.
Thanks for the great ideas and for dropping by my blog!
