Our stART project this week was reading Where is My Broom? by Margaret A. Hartelius.
I'll be honest, the only reason I picked this book is because I knew Abby would enjoy these footprint witches I saw at Ramblings of a Crazy Woman. This is the only witch book we have, so we read it! LOL!
Abby wanted nothing to do with it a first, as you can see in the picture above. However, it was a cute book and she enjoyed it. It is short and is a picture reader and she helped me read it.
We then made the footprint witches. We traced each others foot on black paper and cut the footprints out and pasted them on a piece of 12x12 Halloween scrapbook paper. We decorated them with Q-tip arms and googly eyes like Ramblings of a Crazy Woman did.
Then I got out a few other supplies and we put hair on our witches, stars on their dresses and Abby decorated the paper with ribbon and drew brooms and cats for each witch.
I think they turned out so cute! I like doing crafts too, so it was fun for me to participate! LOL!

I guess we'll be moving on to Thanksgiving projects next week!

Those are too cute! I can't wait to start doing things like that my Bree. My Mom used to do little crafts with us. We made a lot of Christmas ornaments :)
I love the finished withc print picture. What a cute idea. It looks like you had some fun glitter paint too. It's fun to see Abby's smile transform as she got more into the project;)
Those witches are so cute, but please don't mention Thanksgiving...that sounds a lot like Christmas!!!

It's a fun craft - I wish I knew about it before, because I had a witch book and was looking for a decent craft to extend it. I really like the picture of two of you together - so cute.
I love this finished project--adorable! GREAT picture of the two of you too!! I have to be honest, seeing you makes me want to go exercise harder--crazy, random thought, I know:-). Anyway, I also LOVE the way you displayed your picture.
