Ready Set Vignette

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

This month, I have worked on my mantle again.  After I took off all of the Easter decorations, I was looking for something more Summery.  We recently went to Florida to visit the in-laws and we brought lots of seashells home.  I filled the two apothecary jars with a bit of sand (clearance at Micheal's months ago) and the shells.

Then I got out my stars.  I didn't know what to do next, but after visiting a few thrift stores I found another small jar that matched the others I had.  Perfect!

I then decided to spray paint a few frames white and put some of our beach pics in.

Here's the before vision I had:

This is after I sprayed the frames:

I didn't know what to put in the frame on the left, so I just put a piece of textured scrapbook paper.

I like how this  turned out.  The beach-y feel is very relaxing!

Great job. I love that look too. I'd rather live at the beach but this would do.

I love it! You are so crafty! I think the frame with the textured paper looks like sand - it's fun!

This is so pretty! I love it! You could add a white monogram on top of the scrapbook paper in the frame...but I am a freak for monograms! lol

I love it all!

It looks great! I always want to link up to my sister's party, but I didn't inherit the decorating gene. ;)

Love the soft color of the stars. Well I love stars too so I usually don't care what color they are. I really love the whole arrangement. Lovely job!

It's beautiful! You know I can't resist a beachy theme :). I love the white painted frames. They made such a difference and your barn stars look fab. You did an awesome job (as usual :).
